Simple Fried Cabbage

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 Medium Red Cabbage green will work as well
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil bacon grease will work too
  • 1/4 Cup Raw Sugar or regular white sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice your cabbage into quarters, then into strips. Heat large skillet on med/high then add oil or fat to the pan. Once that is hot, add your cabbage, vinegar, water, sugar and some salt. Cook for about 10 minutes stirring constantly until it starts to brown a little and reduce. You want it to stay a little crisp, so don’t cook it until it’s mushy. Taste and season more if needed.
